WHY WE DREAD TASKS
Let’s get to the heart of the matter: why do we dread certain tasks so much?
It’s not just you – I have a long laundry list of the tasks I honestly hate doing and put off all of the time. It’s something we all face – and there’s several reasons behind it, like:
- Fear of failure
- Perfectionism
- Lack of clarity
- Boredom
- Overwhelm
- Lack of interest
- Lack of immediate reward
Ever find yourself avoiding a task because you’re worried you won’t do it right? Fear of failure is a biggie.
We dread tasks when we’re scared we don’t meet our own or others’ expectations. It’s like that old saying, “If I don’t try, I can’t fail,” but in the long run, it just makes things worse.
“Feel the fear and do it anyway.” – Susan Jeffers
Secondly, the need to make everything perfect can be paralyzing. When we think a task has to be done flawlessly, we end up putting it off because the idea of achieving perfection is so daunting.
But sometimes, the problem is not knowing where to start. When a task is unclear or too complex, it causes anxiety. And research backs this up.
A study by the American Psychological Association found that task ambiguity significantly contributes to procrastination and avoidance behaviors. We dread starting something that feels like a giant, messy puzzle with no obvious solution.
Now about the fourth reason, I’m going to be blunt here. Some tasks are just plain boring. Repetitive or mundane tasks can drain our motivation and enthusiasm, making them feel like a chore before we even begin.
Also, having too many tasks on our plate can make starting anything feel impossible. I mean, ever look at your to do list and feel like you’re drowning?
The sheer volume can be overwhelming, causing us to freeze up.
Sixth, we’re naturally more inclined to procrastinate on tasks that don’t align with our interests or goals. When a task feels uninteresting, irrelevant, or unimportant, it’s hard to muster up the energy to get it done.
Plus, tasks that offer no immediate gratification can be tough to tackle. If the benefits are long-term and not instantly visible, it’s easy to push these tasks to the back burner.
Why am I telling you all of this? Cuz understanding why we dread tasks is the first step towards overcoming that dread.
Now that we’ve broken down the reasons, let’s dive into some practical hacks to help you conquer your to do list with confidence and ease!
The 9 hacks for overcoming dread and getting tasks off your plate that we’re going to dive into are:
- Break down tasks and set goals
- Prioritize and tackle the most dreaded tasks first
- Schedule tasks
- Use the Pomodoro Technique
- Try a power hour
- Create a distraction-free workspace
- Practice mindfulness
- Reward yourself
- Find an accountability buddy
HACK #1: BREAK DOWN TASKS & SET GOALS
Alright, let’s tackle this to do list monster one bite at a time.
One of the biggest reasons tasks feel overwhelming is because they’re just too big. But what if we could shrink them down into something more manageable?
That’s where breaking tasks into smaller steps comes in.
Breaking tasks into smaller steps and setting specific goals works because it transforms a daunting task into a series of manageable actions.
It’s like turning a marathon into a series of short sprints.
Each small step you complete builds momentum and confidence, making the whole task feel much more achievable and bringing down that dread tremendously.
BREAK DOWN TASKS
Think of a big task or project like a giant pizza. You wouldn’t try to eat the whole thing in one bite, right? Nope, you’d cut it into slices.
The same logic applies to tasks. When you break a big task into smaller, bite-sized steps, it feels way less intimidating.
For example, I’m currently in the middle of creating a report for a freelance client. At first, I saw it as one, huge, scary task that I really didn’t want to do. But here’s how I broke it down:
- Outline the report sections
- Gather data for each section
- Write a draft for one section at a time
- Write a draft for the introduction
- Write a draft for the conclusion
- Edit and proofread the entire report
Since each of these steps are much more approachable than thinking about the entire report, I’ve been able to tackle one step a day with ease. It’s like somehow by breaking the task/project down, you’re also breaking down your dread cuz you’re turning it into something that feels doable.
Plus, you get the satisfaction of checking off each step as you go, which can be a great motivator to keep going!
And you know what’s great? You can save these broken down tasks for a power hour! So join my FREE 7-Day Power Hour Challenge and get these dreaded tasks off your plate. Just enter your info below and check your inbox for your next steps:
SET SPECIFIC GOALS
Now that you’ve broken your task down, it’s time to set some goals. But not just any goals – specific, achievable ones.
Specific goals give you a clear target to aim for, making it easier to focus and get things done.
So instead of saying, “I need to work on my report,” say, “I’ll finish outlining my report by 11 am.”
Here’s a little pro tip: use the SMART criteria for setting your goals. Make sure they’re specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound.
This way, you know exactly what you need to do, and by when.
HACK #2: PRIORITIZE & TACKLE THE MOST DREAD TASKS FIRST
Okay, let’s talk about a strategy that might seem a bit counterintuitive at first has proven to be a real game changer for me and my coaching clients: tackling the most dreaded tasks first.
I know, I know – starting with the thing you least want to do sounds like no fun at all. But hear me out!
Prioritizing and tackling the most dreaded tasks first works because it build momentum. When you start your day with a win, even if it’s a tough one, you feel more confident and motivated.
“Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up.” – Brené Brown
Plus, you’re not carrying around the weight of that dreaded task all day, which can sap your energy and focus. So let’s dive deeper.
EAT THE FROG
There’s this concept from productivity guru Brian Tracy called “eat the frog.” The idea is simple: if you start your day by doing the hardest, least appealing task (the frog), everything else will feel like a breeze by comparison.
It’s about getting the toughest part of your day over with first, so you’re not dreading it the whole day.
I mean, think about it. If you get the most dreaded task out of the way early, you’ll feel a huge sense of relief and accomplishment. Plus, it frees up mental space/energy for the rest of your day cuz you’re not spending hours (or even days) worrying about that one awful tasks you’ve been avoiding.
HOW TO PRIORITIZE
So how do you figure out which tasks to tackle first?
Start by making a list of everything you need to do. Then identify which tasks you’re dreading the most.
These are usually the ones that make you feel anxious just thinking about them.
Here’s a quick prioritization process:
- List all of your tasks.
- Highlight the ones that make you cringe. These are your “frogs”!
- Rank the highlighted tasks in order of urgency and importance.
- Pick the most urgent and important frog, and get ready to tackle it first.
- Pick the 2nd most urgent and important frog, and get ready to tackle that second.
- And so on
THINK NIKE: JUST DO IT
Once you’ve identified your frog, don’t overthink it! Just dive in and get started.
Often, the anticipation of a dreaded tasks is way worse than the task itself.
So set a timer for 15 minutes and commit to working on it for just that amount of time. Chances are, once you start, you’ll find it easier to keep going and get it off your plate.
HACK #3: SCHEDULE TASKS
Let’s get real for a moment: how often do you look at your to do list and feel overwhelmed, not knowing where to start?
Well, that’s where scheduling comes into play!
It’s like giving your tasks a home on your calendar, making them feel less like an endless to do list and more like a series of appointments.
“A year from now you may wish you started today.” – Karen Lamb
When you schedule your dreaded tasks, you give some structure to your day/week which helps you manage your time more effectively. By assigning specific time slots to your tasks, you’re less likely to procrastinate or feel overwhelmed.
It also helps you create a balanced day, mixing in work with necessary breaks and personal time.
THE POWER OF SCHEDULING
Scheduling a task doesn’t just mean you’re committed to doing it – you’re deciding exactly when you’re going to do it.
This simple act can make a world of difference. It turns vague intentions into concrete plans.
Instead of saying, “I need to work on my project sometime this week,” you’re saying, “I’ll work on my project from 2-3 pm today.”
It’s a subtle but oh so powerful shift.
In fact, scheduling your tasks for a power hour is super effective. Just one of the many reasons you should join my FREE 7-Day Power Hour Challenge! Just enter your info below to get the guide in your inbox. Plus you’ll hear from me throughout the week and can get personalized advice!
HOW TO SCHEDULE EFFECTIVELY
Michael Hyatt (founder of Full Focus) always says, “What gets scheduled gets done.”
So here’s a brief scheduling guide to help you make the most out of your time:
- Block out time: look at your calendar and block out specific time slots for each task. Be realistic about how long each task will take and give yourself some buffer time.
- Prioritize tasks: refer to the “prioritization process” outlined in the section above
- Include breaks: don’t forget to schedule your breaks! Taking regular breaks is crucial for maintaining productivity and avoiding burnout. Use techniques like the Pomodoro Technique (more on that later) to structure your work and break times.
- Stick to the schedule: once you’ve set your schedule, stick to it as closely as possible. Treat these time slots as non-negotiable appointments with yourself.
There’s plenty of tools out there than can make scheduling a breeze. Tools like Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, or dedicated task management apps like Google Tasks or Todoist can really help you plan your day down to the minute.
You can set reminders, color-code tasks, and even sync your calendar across devices so you always know what’s next.
My personal faves and recommendations: using Google Calendar in unison with Google Tasks!
HACK #4: USE THE POMODORO TECHNIQUE
Now let’s talk about a time management technique that’s as fun to say as it is effective: the Pomodoro Technique.
If you’ve read any of my past blogs before, then you’ll recognize this!
Named after the humble tomato (pomodoro in Italian), this method is all about breaking your work into focused intervals with regular breaks in between. It’s simple, effective, and can totally transform the way you work.
“Often just by taking action, by doing something about the situation, you can relieve the stress and help correct the situation.” – Catherine Pulsifer
The Pomodoro Technique works because it capitalizes on our natural attention span. Studies show that taking regular breaks helps maintain focus and reduce fatigue.
By working in short, intense bursts, you can get more done in less time and avoid burnout. Plus, those regular breaks give your brain a chance to rest and recharge, so you’re ready to tackle the next Pomodoro with fresh energy.
GETTING STARTED WITH THE POMODORO TECHNIQUE
This technique has been around since the late 1980’s, and is super simple. Here’s how it works:
- Choose a task: pick a dreaded task to work on (refer to the prioritization process above!)
- Set a timer: set a timer for 25 minutes. This 25-minute work period is called one “pomodoro”
- Work for 25 minutes: focus solely on your task until the timer rings. No distractions, no interruptions – just pure, concentrated work.
- Take a break: after the timer rings, take a 5-minute break. Stretch, grab a coffee, meditate, or just relax.
- Repeat: after 4 pomodoros (25-minute work periods), take a longer break of 15-30 minutes to recharge.
Why 25 minutes?
Well, studies have proven that 25 minutes is the sweet spot for focus. It’s long enough to make some real progress but short enough to keep your mind from wandering.
Plus, knowing a break is just around the corner can help you stay motivated and reduce the urge to procrastinate. It’s kind of like your dread disappears if you know that you only have to work on it for a short while.
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
Here’s some quick tips to help you use the Pomodoro Technique successfully:
- Eliminate distractions: turn off notifications, close unnecessary tabs, and let others know you’re in a focus session
- Track your pomodoros: keep a log of how many pomodoros you complete. It’s a great way to see your progress and stay motivated.
- Be flexible: if 25 minutes feels too short or too long, adjust the timer to what works best for you. The key is to find a rhythm that keeps you focused and productive.
I personally love to do 30 minutes on then 10 minutes off, or 45-minutes on and 15 minutes off. So mix it up and see what clicks.
HACK #5: TRY A POWER HOUR
Alright alright alright! Let’s talk about a super effective way to power through your dreaded tasks: the power hour.
This can be your secret weapon for tackling those nagging to do’s that always seem to get pushed to the bottom of the list.
But what is a power hour? It’s a dedicated, distraction-free hour where you focus intensely on a specific task or set of tasks.
“Set a timer and compete to beat the clock to conquer procrastination.” – Monika Kristofferson
The goal is to get as much done as possible in that time frame, using the power of a ticking clock to stay motivated and on track.
The power hour works because it creates a sense of urgency and focus. When you know you only have an hour, you’re less likely to procrastinate or get distracted. It’s a focused sprint that can help you tackle even the most dreaded tasks with determination.
It’s kind of like giving your productivity an espresso shot!
Plus, there’s something super satisfying about seeing how much you can accomplish in 60 minutes. You actually get a psychological boost when you complete each task.
Crossing items off your list during a power hour can give you a sense of accomplishment and momentum, making it easier to keep the productivity going throughout the day.

HOW TO SET UP A POWER HOUR
Here’s a workflow I suggest following to set your power hour up:
- Choose your tasks: start by picking a few tasks that you want to knock out. These should be tasks that can realistically be completed or significantly advanced in an hour.
- Eliminate distractions: before you start, make sure to get rid of any potential distractions. Turn off notifications, close unnecessary tabs, and let others know that you’re busy.
- Set a timer: set a 60-minute timer. Knowing that you have a limited time can help you stay focused and work more efficiently.
- Get to work: dive into your tasks with full focus. Don’t let anything pull you away! This is your dedicated time to be a productivity machine!
- Review and reflect: once the hour is up, take a few minutes to review what you’ve accomplished. Reflect on what worked well and what you could improve for your next power hour.
TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL POWER HOUR
Now that you get how to do your power hour, here’s some best practices you should know to make the most out of it:
Firstly, prioritize high-impact tasks. Aka focus on the tasks that have a big impact but tend to get delayed.
This could be anything from clearing your email inbox to cleaning your shower.
Secondly, prepare ahead of time. Gather all the materials and information you’ll need before you set that timer. This way, you won’t waste time searching for things during your focused work time.
And lately, don’t forget to take care of yourself. Stay hydrated and energized by having a water or drink nearby. And maybe a snack if you need a quick energy boost.
HACK #6: CREATE A DISTRACTION-FREE WORKSPACE
Let’s be honest: our environment plays a huge role in how productive we are.
If your workspace is cluttered or full of distractions, it’s no wonder you’re struggling with dread. But don’t worry about it – creating a distraction-free workspace is honestly easier than you think.
WHY ENVIRONMENT MATTERS
Picture this: you’re trying to focus on a task, but your phone keeps buzzing, your desk is a mess, and your neighbor’s dog won’t stop barking.
It’s hard to concentrate, right?
A study by the University of California, Irvine, found that it takes an average of 23 minutes to regain focus after a distraction. That’s A LOT of lost time!
Which is why creating a dedicated, distraction-free workspace can tremendously help you stay focused and get into the zone.
“You may even welcome the distraction. But if you use it as an excuse for not doing what you’re supposed to do, you can blame no one but yourself. If you truly wish to accomplish something, you should allow nothing to stop you, and chances are you’ll succeed.” – Julie Andrews
The goal is to minimize the number of things that can pull your attention away from your tasks. When you control your environment, you create a setting where your brain knows it’s time to focus.
This not only improves your productivity, but also makes working feel less like a chore and more like a series of accomplishments.
Honestly, creating a distraction-free workspace is a small investment that can pay huge dividends in how much you get done – AND how good you feel while doing it!
DECLUTTER YOUR SPACE
First things first (I’m the realest…jk but IYKYK): declutter!
A clean, organized workspace can do wonders for your focus and mental clarity. This matters cuz when you’re full of dread, you’re missing that mental clarity you need to focus.
So here’s how to get started with decluttering your workspace:
- Clear your desk: remove anything that’s not essential for your current task. Keep only the items you need within reach.
- Organize supplies: use organizers or drawers to keep your supplies neat and tidy. This way, you’re not wasting time looking for a pen or a sticky note.
- Digital declutter: don’t forget your digital workspace! Remove notifications and close unnecessary tabs and apps on your computer to reduce those distractions.
CONTROL YOUR ENVIRONMENT
Next, let’s tackle those external distractions.
There’s going to be a lot of stuff that you simply cannot control – like your neighbor’s dog barking. But you can control how you respond to them and how you can personally avoid them.
Here’s some suggestions to help you begin control your work environment:
- Noise control: if noise is an issue, consider noise-cancelling headphones or a white noise machine. Listening to instrumental music or nature sounds can also help you stay focused.
- Lighting: make sure your workspace is well lit. Natural light is the best, but if that’s not an option, use a good desk lamp. Proper lighting can reduce eye strain and boost your mood.
- Comfort: invest in a comfortable chair and make sure your desk is at the right height. Ergonomics matter! When you’re physically comfortable, it’s way easier to concentrate.
SET BOUNDARIES
A huge part of creating a distraction-free workspace is setting boundaries with both people around you AND yourself!
Why? Cuz if your boundaries are overstepped or not even acknowledged, then dread becomes the norm. So let’s avoid that!
Here’s how to set those boundaries:
- Inform others: let family or housemates know when you’re working and need to focus. A simple “do not disturb” sign on your door can work wonders!
- Scheduled breaks: set specific times for breaks so you can check your phone, grab a snack or water, and chat with others. This helps keep interruptions to a minimum during your focused work sessions.
PERSONALIZE YOUR SPACE
And finally, make your workspace somewhere you actually enjoy being!
Cuz if you don’t genuinely like where you are, you’re going to dread work as a whole. So make it you.
Here’s some ideas for how you can personalize your workspace:
- Add personal touches: a few personal items, like photos or a plant, can make your space feel more inviting.
- Stay inspired: keep inspiration close at hand. Whether it’s motivational quotes, a vision board, or a list of goals, having reminders of why you’re working hard can keep you motivated and push dread to the side.
So take a little time to create a workspace that supports your focus and productivity, and feels like you. Trust me, when you enjoy your space, it makes working a hell of a lot easier.
HACK #7: PRACTICE MINDFULNESS
Let’s be blunt: stress, dread, and overwhelm are productivity killers.
When you’re feeling frazzled, it’s hard to get anything done – let alone those tasks that you’ve been dreading!
That’s where mindfulness comes into play. Practicing mindfulness and/or meditation can help you calm your mind, focus better, and tackle your to do list with more ease.
According to research from Harvard Medical School, regular meditation can change the brain’s structure, enhancing areas related to attention and emotional regulation.
This means you’re better equipped to handle stress and stay focused on your tasks.
When you’re mindful, you’re less likely to get overwhelmed by your to do list. You can approach each task with a calm, clear mind, making it easier to start and stay on track.
Plus, taking a few minutes to breathe and relax can make even the most dreaded tasks seem a bit more manageable.
WHAT IS MINDFULNESS?
Mindfulness is all about being present in the moment. It means paying attention to what you’re doing right now without getting lost in thoughts or emotions about the past or future.
It’s like giving your brain a mini vacation from all the stress and distractions. Sounds nice, doesn’t it?
By the way, don’t forget about the FREE Power Hour Challenge! Just enter your info below and get the guide in your inbox. Plus you’ll hear from me throughout the week and have the chance to get some personalized advice:
HOW TO PRACTICE MINDFULNESS
You don’t need to sit on a mountaintop or spend hours meditating to practice mindfulness.
Here’s some simple ways to bring mindfulness into your daily routine:
- Mindful breathing: take a few minutes to focus on your breath. Sit comfortable, close your eyes, and breathe in deeply through your nose. Then, exhale slowly through your mouth. Pay attention to the sensation of the air entering and leaving your body.
- Body scan: Spend a few minutes doing a mental scan of your body. Start from the top of your head and move down to your toes, noticing any tension or discomfort. This can help you release physical stress and feel more grounded.
- Mindful eating: this is something I’ve personally been working a lot on! Next time you eat, take a moment to really savor your food. Notice the flavors, textures, and smells. Eating mindfully can help you enjoy your meals more and can be a relaxing break in your day.
I want you to see something: in that list above, I kept using the word “notice” because that’s all your supposed to do – just notice and acknowledge things as they are. Mindfulness is about changing them, it’s about being fully aware of the moment.
“Procrastination is, hands down, our favorite form of self-sabotage.” – Alyce P. Cornyn-Selby
And when you can be fully in the moment, dread kind of just disappears because you’re not paying attention to those thoughts or emotions anymore.
Dread no longer controls you – you control you.
MEDITATION TECHNIQUES
If you’ve read any of my blogs before, then you know that I’m a big meditation advocate! But it took me a while to get here.
What I’ve learned is that meditation is a super powerful way to cultivate mindfulness. The goal is not to get rid of all of your thoughts – that’s not how our brain works! The goal is to notice when thoughts or emotions arise, then being intentional with how you respond to it. It’s about letting go of reactivity and becoming proactive.
So here’s a few beginner-friendly meditation techniques to try the next time you’re full of dread:
- Guided meditation: I personally love the app Headspace which I highly recommend using to at least get started with your meditation journey. This and other apps like Calm offer guided sessions that can be as short as 3 minutes.
- Loving-Kindness meditation: this is another technique that I’ve been working on a lot lately. Sit quietly and focus on sending positive thoughts and vibes to yourself and others. Repeat phrases like, “May I be happy, may I be healthy, may I be at peace,” then extend these wishes to friends, family, and even people you find challenging.
- This is just an example of what you could say, but whatever you decide to say make sure you connect with it!
- Visualization: imagine a peaceful place, like a beach or a forest. Picture yourself there, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells. This can help you relax and recharge.
So whenever you’re feeling stressed, scattered, or like you don’t want to do anything, try to take a few minutes to practice mindfulness and meditation. You’ll be surprised at how much calmer and more focused you’ll feel!
HACK #8: REWARD YOURSELF
Now let’s chat about something we all love: rewards!
I mean, who doesn’t like a little treat for a job well done?
Using rewards is a fantastic way to motivate yourself and make even the most dreaded tasks a bit more enjoyable. It’s all about giving yourself something to look forward to after putting in the work.
Here’s the cool part: rewarding yourself truly works because it taps into the brain’s reward system.
When you complete a task and then enjoy a reward, your brain releases dopamine – a feel-good chemical that boosts motivation and happiness.
This creates a positive feedback loop, making you more likely to tackle future tasks with enthusiasm instead of dread!
Plus knowing that there’s a reward waiting can make even the most mundane or daunting tasks seem more manageable. It gives you something to aim for and can turn a chore into a challenge.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT REWARDS
Now the key to using rewards effectively is to choose ones that truly motivate you.
So here’s some reward ideas to get you started:
- Small treats: this could be your favorite snack, a cup of fancy coffee, or a piece of dark chocolate. Little indulgences can make a big difference!
- Break time: allow yourself a break to do something you enjoy, like coloring in an adult coloring book (one of my fave activities!), taking a short walk, or reading a few pages of a book.
- Self-care: treat yourself to some self-care activities like a doing a face mask or a quick meditation session.
- Entertainment: reward yourself with a short episode of a TV show, some time playing a video game, or listening to your favorite podcast.
- Social time: take a moment to call or text a friend, or to spend time with family or pets. Social interactions are honestly a great motivator!
Now let’s talk about how to set up your reward system!
“Believe me; the reward is not so great without the struggle.” – Wilma Rudolph
SETTING UP YOUR REWARD SYSTEM
As a productivity life coach, I can’t help but systemize everything. Doing so is truly how you make the most out of any hack.
So here’s how to set up a simple reward system for yourself:
- Identify tasks: choose the tasks you need to finish and decide which one(s) will earn you a reward.
- Match tasks with rewards: pair each chosen task with a specific reward.
- For example: you might say that once you finish editing this report, you’ll treat yourself to a 15-minute coffee break.
- Follow through: make sure to actually give yourself the reward once you’ve completed the task. This helps reinforce the positive behavior and makes you look forward to doing it again!
So the next time you’re staring down a task you’d rather avoid, set up a little reward for yourself. It doesn’t have to be anything big – sometimes, the smallest treats can make the biggest difference.
HACK #9: FIND AN ACCOUNTABILITY BUDDY
Alrighty, let’s wrap this up with a hack that’s all about leveraging the power of community: finding an accountability buddy.
Whether you’re flying solo or surrounded by fellow freelancers, having someone to share your goals and tasks with can make a world of difference.
Seeking support and accountability works because it brings a social element to your solo journey. It’s easy to let things slide when you’re only accountable to yourself, but when you know someone else is rooting for you (and checking in), it adds an extra push.
When you tell someone else about your goals or dreaded tasks, you’re making a commitment – not just to yourself, but to them. And this external accountability is a powerful motivator.
According to a study by the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), people are 65% more likely to meet a goal or finish a task after committing to another person. This likelihood increases to 95% when they have specific accountability appointments to review progress.
Also, I can’t forget to mention that sharing your journey with others can reduce feelings of isolation and make your work that much more enjoyable.
THE BUDDY SYSTEM
Remember when you were a kid and you had a buddy for field trips? That concept works just as well for adults in the work world.
An accountability buddy is someone you check in with regularly to share your progress, set goals, and keep each other on track.
This can be a friend, a fellow freelancer, or a coach like me!
In fact, I’d be honored to be your accountability buddy. So here’s your official invite to join my Accountable Mindset Coaching Program!

Here’s how I suggest working with your accountability buddy:
- Regular check-ins: schedule regular meetings – weekly or biweekly works well. Use this time to discuss your tasks and goals, to share updates, and to offer support to one another.
- Be honest: share your struggles and successes. Honesty is the key to making this work!
- Set clear goals: make sure your goals are specific, measureable, and time-bound. This helps both of you track progress and stay focused.
- Celebrate wins: don’t forget to celebrate your wins, no matter how small. Recognizing achievements keeps motivation high!
